Your Role as a Website Manager

June 4, 2026

LEANWI Website Service partners with libraries in IFLS, Northern Waters Library System, Winding Rivers Library System, and Wisconsin Valley Library Service to build and maintain library websites. LEANWI Website Service manages many of the technical aspects of designing and supporting these sites. But as a partner, we rely heavily on each individual libraries to manage updating their own information and content.

You, the staff on the ground at your library, know best when storytime is, what your library operating hours are, when you have a notable author coming to visit, and hear the requests to book a meeting room or reserve a book from the catalog. We, the website technicians, don’t know these things, but we do have the tools to help you tell people about what’s going on and how to connect with services.

This page summarizes your role as a website manager and links you to the tools we have to help you do that job with confidence and (hopefully) ease!
