One of the most life-changing challenges can be cutting a major food group from your diet. Likewise, it can feel impossible to live without PDFs, a staple of our digital document pantry. In this “test kitchen” session, we examine why PDFs often fail WCAG 2.1 AA standards and how overreliance on them undermines accessibility, explore practical alternatives to PDFs, and review some areas where PDFs are still needed or don't yet have an alternative format.
