July 2024 – LEANWI Websites is introducing a newly designed, centrally managed “Online Resources” page for LEANWI library websites.

Goals:

• Improve the discoverability of various online resources and databases;
• Streamline adding/removing resources as needed.

Process:

• Online resources are presented in categorical drop-down menus.
• Each library system has its own unique landing page so system-specific pages can be included.

  • NWLS
  • WVLS
  • WRLS
• Resources are embedded on a library’s website via an iframe script in a Divi code module, very similar to how the online catalog carousels (New Books, etc.) are displayed.
  • Other library-specific resources/elements can be included on the library’s webpage through other Divi modules with shared online resources featured via a section with the code module.
• Contents in the online resources module are created and updated by LEANWI staff and new sources can be added/old sources removed without individual libraries needing to do the work.
