The Website Accessibility Learning Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, 11 AM - 12 PM.

This group will focus on learning about and determining specific steps LEANWI website library staff need to take to come into compliance with the new Title II (public entities) ADA requirements for accessibility of websites and mobile devices (https://www.ada.gov/resources/small-entity-compliance-guide/). 

Regular meet-up for those with basic website skills who want to become more proficient and efficient at 
managing their website. Come prepared to log in to your website, share your screen, and ask your questions.

Topic: Creating Accessible Newsletters

The library newsletter is a critical marketing tool that helps broadcast news about library events and services to email lists and those visiting a website. But if you’re linking a newsletter to your website, it also needs to be WCAG compliant.

This session will cover basic principles of designing an email based or desktop published newsletter or, if you use an email service for delivering an HTML newsletter, either reviewing or testing your service’s compliance or for offering an accessible alternative.
